​The Kevin A. Swanson Memorial Garden was established in memory of Kevin Alan Swanson to care for animals that are lost, mistreated, or displaced for various reasons. Kevin was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls and 1986 honors graduate from Moorhead State University, MN, with a Masters's degree in Business Administration and an Industrial Technology degree.
Until his death in October of 1999, Kevin was a dedicated animal lover and advocate. This memorial garden is a reflection of his unending devotion and support by providing contributors with a chance through purchases of memorial bricks and by making other monetary contributions to show their devotion to their own pets and to all animals who need the special care offered by the Pennington County Humane Society.​Thanks to the generosity of the Swanson family, your purchase directly benefits our animals by allowing us to provide quality care and a speedy adoption while continuing our spay-neuter efforts to reduce the problem of unwanted animals.
